Indian Train Journey - Just Sit On Your Seats!
A quick backstory for this.
It was the first time me experiencing the infamous hostel life for two whole years.
It was filled with the most joyful memories and one day it ended as it has to.
It was an emotional day for me. The same day I packed my shit from my hostel and moved back home.
The Journey
Its 7.15 AM and there I am. In the train, sitting and reminiscing the most beautiful moments. The train started moving and these moments are something I'd probably never feel again. The most classical thing happened to me as it can happen to any solo traveler on a train. A joint family of 20-25 members hoped on to the train and they wanted me to switch seats so they can have fun together. It makes sense and I said YES.
It was very hard to say goodbye to my friends and to my window seat on the same day 👀.
The "Fast" Family
This family kinda took a whole compartment to themselves with their food, snacks, luggage and everything. Its 9'O clock now and it's time for Breakfast. 4-5 members of the family took the responsibility to cater to every other family member splashed across the compartment. That goddamn train was already so congested with bus-like seats and It was allllll noise, haste and hustle. Man, it was hard. But it was good to see them having fun while they were racing to cater idlis and sambar to everyone. They could beat Dominic Toretto 👀.
The War!
What is another classical thing that can happen in a train journey? Obviously, the fightttt. I was a solo, helpless guy and I can switch seats. But can a whole family do that? Nope. Another family of 5 or so members hoped on and wanted their seats only. I mean it makes sense, It's their seat. The war between these two families happened for about 10 minutes and it was not a fight.
It's a war.
Its chaos.
Its vengeance.
Its batman.
They all finally settled to get back to their assigned seats. Of course, the solo helpless guy has to get back to the original seat too. It pissed me off. But.. It can't be avoided and I can't really blame anyone.
Moral? Just sit on your seats. But I'd probably give up my seat again to watch this chaos 😆
